in a few minutes.

Install the desktop app, walk through the setup wizard, and your brain is ready — local on your machine, no account required.

Using MindGraf Cloud? It shuts down October 12, 2026 — here's how to move to local.

  1. Install

    macOS

    1. Download the installer — the download page detects your Mac and recommends the right .dmg.
    2. Open the .dmg and drag MindGraf into Applications.
    3. Open MindGraf. The setup wizard launches on first run.

    Windows coming soon

    A Windows build is in development. When it ships, the installer appears on the download page automatically.

  2. First run: the setup wizard

    On first launch, MindGraf walks you through a short wizard. Everything is changeable later in Settings.

    Choose a data location

    Your graph lives in a workspace directory on your machine — fully local, yours.

    Pick your preferences

    Optionally install the brain CLI and register the MindGraf MCP servers with Claude Code and Codex.

    Finish

    Land on your dashboard and take the quick tour: capture, search, connect.

Cloud shutdown

MindGraf Cloud is shutting down on — moving to local

The hosted MindGraf Cloud — the web app at app.mindgraf.ai, the cloud agent, and hosted sync — shuts down on October 12, 2026. The desktop app and the brain CLI keep working fully on your machine. If you have a cloud brain, move it to local before the shutdown.

  1. Install or update the desktop app. Download the latest version — the move-to-local option ships in the current release.
  2. Move your brain. In the desktop app, open Settings → Cloud and choose Move cloud brain to local. Prefer the terminal? Run brain migrate-to-local. Your entities and relationships are copied into your local workspace.
  3. You're local-only. Your brain now lives in a directory on your machine. The desktop app, CLI, and MCP servers read from it — no account needed.

After October 12, 2026, the hosted cloud goes offline and data stored in it is deleted. It can't be recovered after that date, so move your brain before then. Local brains are not affected. Questions? support@mindgraf.ai.

System requirements

  • macOS 13 or later, Apple Silicon or Intel.
  • A few hundred MB of disk space, plus room for your knowledge graph.
  • No account required — internet is only needed for integrations and updates.
